Keerthy Yessh, born 17 October 1992 in India, is an actress in film. Keerthy has mainly appeared in Tamil and Telugu cinema along with a handful of Malayalam. The actress was awarded the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri the character in the Telugu film Mahanati (2018). The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy is the child of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her first career was an actress for children. Then, following a course in fashion design, she re-entered acting. She had her first lead role in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy started working in projects that weren't Malayalam in the year 2015. She also signed up to star in several Tamil films simultaneously. In 2015, she released A. A. Vijay's romantic comedies Idhu Enna Maayam and Vikramprabhu opposite one another. However, the films didn't do very well at the theaters. The actress had to pull out of a number of films she was working on in 2015, including Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalai Vedam to make room for more ambitious projects. She then worked on Rajini Murugan's Remo in two quick films. Additionally, Dhanush and she played as the main characters in Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. But, the movie has been delayed since 2015, with the possibility of release in September in 2020, under the different title, Janakitho Nunu. The debut film was Nenu Sailaja in 2016 featuring the actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast as Vijay in Bairavaa by Bharathan the film, which debuted on 17 January 2017.
