Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway roles, she played her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She was awarded an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Play in the role of Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh has worked on projects with award-winning director, actors and producers throughout her professional career. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail in Robert Siegel's Hulu-exclusive show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford's current film will be Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust and he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film will be aired on Disney DTC in the form of an Hulu Original. Ashford is set to appear alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), exactly the same group that produced Hamilton directed the production. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the impeachment crisis that swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key actors into the very first impeachment proceedings in America for more than 100 years. She was in two seasons of hit CBS comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her role as Essie in You Can't Take It with You. Additional Broadway performances for Ashford include Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, as well as the role of Lauren In Kinky Boots. For this performance, she was awarded the Tony Award nomination. Ashford is from the city of Denver native who now divides her time between Los Angeles.
