Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. an Olympic competition. Comaneci was spotted by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was only six years old. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she took home the title. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for junior athletes before the Olympics she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. After that, in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. At her first competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. In 1976, she became the world's first woman to utilize a reversed double salto in order to take off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field by performing in the form of a figure skater. Along with her brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol ventured into the entertainment business as a teenager. Early on she was a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
